Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitoring: Observe and report changes in patient's physical and mental condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record patient vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure accurately.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Medication Assistance: Support the nursing team by assisting with medication administration and documenting patient intake/output.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to call lights and emergencies, following hospital protocols and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) consistently.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy and patience when interacting with patients and their families.
