Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent pressure ulcers and ensure comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician.
- Observe and report any changes in patient behavior or physical condition to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM).
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical stamina required to lift and move patients safely.
