Job Overview:

Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Vitals: Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate, ensuring all data is logged into electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, respecting patient dignity and privacy at all times.
- Medication Management: Assist patients with medication administration under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), ensuring proper documentation and adherence to medication schedules.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, reporting changes in patient condition or concerns immediately to the Charge Nurse.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment, following infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Mobility Support: Safely assist patients with ambulation and transfer using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to prevent injury.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active California State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and registration.
- BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and infection control procedures.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
