Job Summary
As a Night Shift CNA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients during the overnight hours. You will work closely with the nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and report any abnormalities to the RN or charge nurse immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families, fostering a comfortable and reassuring environment.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient conditions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Perform basic bedside procedures, including wound care, catheter care, and range-of-motion exercises as directed.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and current California CNA License required.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing up to 250 lbs and stand for extended periods.
