Core Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Document patient care activities, intake/output, and changes in condition in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN, following strict protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Kentucky.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or acute care setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing up to 250 lbs safely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods.
