Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide respectful and dignified assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Ensure Patient Safety: Implement fall prevention strategies and assist patients with mobility using proper transfer techniques and equipment.
- Provide Emotional Support: Offer companionship and a listening ear to patients, fostering a warm and welcoming environment.
- Assist with Nutrition: Serve meals, assist with feeding if needed, and ensure patients remain hydrated throughout the shift.
- Document Care: Update electronic health records (EHR) with accurate notes regarding patient status and care provided.
- Collaborate with Team: Communicate effectively with nurses and medical staff to address patient needs promptly.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current, active CNA license required (or eligibility to obtain certification through our sponsor program).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods; must be able to assist with lifting patients (up to 250 lbs. with assistance).
- Compassion & Patience: A genuine desire to help others and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Reliability: Proven history of punctuality and a strong work ethic.
