Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates as directed by the nursing staff.
- Mobility Support: Help patients move safely in bed, transfer to wheelchairs, and walk using assistive devices.
- Communication: Report patient conditions, changes in behavior, or emergencies to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure patient rooms are clean, sanitized, and free of hazards to prevent falls.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with patients and their families, offering a compassionate and friendly presence.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Training: Must be willing to obtain CNA certification or complete a state-approved training program.
- Character: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a strong desire to help others.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods; ability to assist patients with mobility.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
