Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Measure and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration)
- Provide mobility assistance and help patients with movement exercises
- Observe patient conditions and report any changes to nursing staff
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Maintain clean and sanitized patient environments and equipment
- Support patient nutrition by serving meals and assisting with feeding
- Document care activities accurately in patient records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current Maryland CNA certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (training provided)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and empathy for diverse patient populations
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
