Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient conditions, including vital signs and behavioral changes, to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Daily Living: Provide essential assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Medication Support: Assist with medication administration and ensuring patients receive their prescribed treatments on time.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs as required by hospital policy.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, effectively communicating patient needs and concerns.
- Hygiene & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CNA Certification preferred but not mandatory for qualified candidates willing to learn.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Empathy & Compassion: A genuine desire to help others and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.
