Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility issues, including walking and transferring patients to wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients.
- Document patient care activities and report any changes in condition to nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be willing to obtain CNA certification or have current certification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Candidates with no prior experience must demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and a caring demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus but not mandatory.
