Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including proper positioning and infection control measures.
- Communication: Communicate patient needs and changes in condition effectively to RNs and physicians.
- Assistance: Support patients with eating, walking, and transferring to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current State of Maryland CNA certification required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We value attitude and aptitude over experience.
