Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Report any changes in a patient’s condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Transport patients to and from medical appointments or therapy sessions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CNA Certification (or willingness to complete state certification program).
- Valid State CNA License (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient demeanor.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
