Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Document daily care activities and patient updates accurately in electronic health records.
- Feed patients who require assistance with meals and monitor fluid intake.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure a high standard of patient care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A compassionate attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
- No prior CNA certification or experience necessary; training provided.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
