Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to help others and promote dignity in care.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation and electronic health record entry.
- Willingness to obtain CNA certification or complete a state-approved training program.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are preferred.
