Responsibilities
- Patient Care Assistance: Provide direct care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patients remain clean, comfortable, and dry by assisting with oral hygiene and changing linens as needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and logs regarding daily activities and health status.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with the nursing staff and patients to report changes in condition or immediate needs.
- Environment Safety: Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient room environment to prevent accidents and infections.
- Feeding Assistance: Support patients with meal preparation and feeding as required to ensure proper nutrition.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Must hold a valid Texas Certified Nursing Assistant license or be willing to obtain one through our partnership with local training providers.
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods and assist patients with mobility.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to show empathy, patience, and respect for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Basic Computer Skills: Comfortable using basic computer systems for documentation purposes.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and committed to a full-time schedule.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
