Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, and grooming) in a respectful and compassionate manner.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring them safely from beds to wheelchairs or stretchers as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition, behavior, or appearance to the Registered Nurse in charge.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current CNA certification is preferred; however, we offer paid training programs for qualified candidates with no prior experience.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
