Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the charge nurse immediately.
- Provide basic patient care, including feeding, positioning, and ambulation assistance.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Willingness to obtain a CNA license or certification through our sponsored training program.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred but not mandatory at time of hire.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a compassionate demeanor.
