Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist the nursing team with treatment procedures, wound care, and monitoring patient responses to medication.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, ensuring rooms and equipment are sanitized and organized.
- Feed and hydrate patients according to their dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification (or currently enrolled in a CNA program with graduation imminent).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others in a healthcare setting.
- Basic computer literacy for navigating electronic health record systems.
