Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) accurately and timely.
- Provide basic wound care and assist with patient mobility and transfers using proper techniques.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care plans and daily progress in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Nebraska CNA certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented approach to patient care.
