Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Provide basic bedside care in a nursing home or assisted living facility setting.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores and maintain mobility.
- Assist patients with mobility limitations using walkers, canes, or wheelchairs.
- Prepare patients for examinations or treatments and support nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Louisiana.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong compassion, patience, and empathy for the elderly and disabled.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
