Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and care activities
- Assist with medication administration under supervision of licensed nurses
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain clean patient environments
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Georgia CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of recent CNA experience in home health or long-term care
- Current CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical care tasks
- Excellent communication skills and empathy for elderly patients
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation abilities
- Reliable transportation with valid Georgia driver's license
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
