Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers safely and comfortably.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment to prevent infection and promote healing.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Administer medication as directed by RNs or LPNs within scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
