Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs and EKGs on patients of all ages.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments in a timely manner.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including obtaining medical histories and explaining processes.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to ensure optimal clinic operations.
- Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and examination rooms according to infection control protocols.
- Accurately document patient interactions and clinical findings in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Assist with phlebotomy and medication administration under the supervision of a nurse or provider.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary medical training preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records systems.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
