Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, ensuring accuracy.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Move patients safely using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and daily activities in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare team members regarding patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe patient environment.
- Administer prescribed medication and treatments under the supervision of licensed staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Nevada.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor.
