Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and virtual patient assessments using evidence-based protocols
- Determine appropriate patient acuity levels and prioritize emergency care needs
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide patient education on symptom management and next steps
- Support emergency department flow through effective communication
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) with 1+ years clinical experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency with EHR systems (EMR training provided)
- Completion of paid triage certification program (provided)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
