Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition, behavior, or symptoms to the charge nurse immediately.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
