Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition, symptoms, or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Support patients with mobility, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or assisting with ambulation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required or willingness to obtain.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Reliable transportation.
