Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patient care.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas or activities.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina CNA license or state certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
