Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and supply inventory
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management for weekend operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Manage lab specimens and coordinate with diagnostic facilities
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Current BLS certification and phlebotomy skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with occasional holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of accredited MA program
