Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices safely.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered California State CNA license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
