Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse as per state regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Washington State CNA license required.
- Must possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
