Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, mobility)
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient observations
- Assist with medication administration reminders
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain hygiene standards
- Support patients with cognitive impairments using specialized techniques
- Collaborate with RNs for care plan implementation
- Transport patients to medical appointments as needed
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent CNA experience (home health preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 8+ hours
- Clear criminal background check and TB test
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation
- Spanish bilingual skills (strongly preferred)
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
