Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them safely from beds to wheelchairs or walkers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and daily activities in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing (Ohio).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
