Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the nursing staff to report changes in patient condition.
- Assistance with Procedures: Support nursing staff with wound care, catheter care, and other medical procedures as directed.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to all infection control protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current North Carolina CNA license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Training: Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine passion for patient advocacy.
