Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and in a safe environment, including changing linens and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status, changes in condition, and concerns to registered nurses and physicians in a timely manner.
- Assistance: Support the nursing staff with mobility assistance, transfers, and the operation of medical equipment as required.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation logs in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active CNA certification issued by the state of North Carolina.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we welcome entry-level candidates and offer training opportunities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients up to 250 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help patients and families during challenging times.
- License: Valid driver's license and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
