Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately record and report patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, to the nursing staff.
- Provide Emotional Support: Offer companionship and a listening ear to patients, reducing anxiety and improving their mental well-being.
- Assist with Meals: Serve nutritional meals and assist patients with feeding if necessary, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and sanitized in accordance with health regulations.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care logs and incident reports.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current state Certified Nursing Assistant license required.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) or willingness to learn.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred but not required if willing to obtain.
- Compassion: Genuine desire to help others and a patient-centric approach to care.
