Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient vital signs, EKGs, and injections
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms/equipment
- Manage patient records and documentation in EHR systems
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree
- Active CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong venipuncture and phlebotomy skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
