Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient conditions, symptoms, and vital signs to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Daily Living: Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Medication Management: Support patients with medication reminders and ensure timely administration under supervision.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and logs.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hygiene protocols and safety guidelines to prevent infection spread.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Compassion: Strong desire to help others and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
