Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and transportation to therapy or testing sessions.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in compliance with facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses and document administration.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Kentucky.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
