Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility transfers and ambulation
- Accurately document patient observations in electronic health records
- Support patient hygiene and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana CNA certification
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Proficient in EHR documentation systems
