Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients as needed.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper techniques and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Current, valid state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role.
