Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance, to ensure patient comfort and hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) with treatment plans and medical procedures.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, operating wheelchairs, stretchers, and transport vehicles safely.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance, maintaining a high standard of responsiveness.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and status updates.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of Oklahoma.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients regularly throughout the shift.
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen.
