Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff according to facility protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes in condition to RNs and Doctors, ensuring continuity of care.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient records, charts, and care plans.
- Assistance: Lift and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assist with mobility exercises as directed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required for top candidates.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for patient care and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
