Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or using walkers.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors at all times.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care plans and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergency situations following established protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CNA in the state of California required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications (if applicable for unit).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED required.
