Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, hands-on patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance to ensure patient comfort and hygiene.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to report changes in patient condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care plans as required by facility policy.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and follow proper safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently throughout the shift.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
