Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) accurately and report any abnormalities.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and family members regarding patient status and needs.
- Document patient care activities and shift information in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license issued by the State of Indiana.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
