Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and ambulation using proper techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents at all times.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Administer medications as directed by the Charge Nurse within scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Kentucky.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation is preferred but not mandatory.
