Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in accordance with facility protocols.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and families regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in New York State (NYS CNA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting.
