Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient condition, vital signs, and behavior to the nursing staff in a timely manner.
- Assist with Daily Living Activities: Provide compassionate care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance to residents and patients.
- Administer Medications: Assist with medication administration and documentation under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care plans for all assigned patients.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure all needs are met.
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Active Certification: Current and valid California CNA license.
- CPR Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy and care.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical assistance tasks.
