Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with medical procedures, treatments, and patient mobility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all sanitation and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and reactions to medications accurately.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA certification in the state of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
